The first day of the weekend and I managed to start a new painting. This painting is of the Thunder Gate which is a massive lantern hanging in one of the main entrance gates to one of Tokyo's temples. This piece is one of the biggest pieces of work I am attempting to do so far.
A 16in x 20in painting takes around 8-12hrs and this new piece is approx. 27in x 32in so I estimate it will take around 20-24hrs to complete. It may take a little longer as the bigger the canvas the more surface area you have to do to make it come together so timings are not just about size.
I also hope to complete a bit more of the course and hopefully it will be ready in a couple of weeks.
Other than that, there hasn't been much movement elsewhere. Things are moving very slowly if at all on my social media platforms.
